Making Silicone Moulds!
Fall 2018
Mould-making:
Instructor: Margaret Carney
Overview:
Learn - How to make a silicone mold!
This is an introductory course to mould-making where participants will create a reusable silicone mould for their own purposes of casting wax, resin, soap, plaster, etc.
Buttons may be made for hand-made clothing and more by creating original designs or using antique items.
Participants will either bring a small simple shaped object they wish to mould (naturalobjects, toys, vegetables, fruit, etc.) or will sculpt a piece with non-sulphur plasticine in class with materials provided. Maximum size of object should hopefully not exceed 5" x 5", however, exceptions can be made.
If you are choosing to re-create something - please bring more than one object to choose from. And please wear work clothes.
With completion of the course, you will have acquired the basic knowledge of how to create a mould and also have a reusable silicone mould.

Dates: Saturday TBD
Times: 10:00am - 4:00pm
Cost: $95 (CVA members $85)
