Make Beads and Jewelry from Polymer Clay!

Overview:
This is a hands-on workshop on working with Polymer Clay to make beads, buttons, and cabochons. Participants will learn how to work with Polymer clay and will learn basics - from conditioning the clay prior to use, to baking and finishing the polymer clay beads and pendants. The class will first learn to make simple beads. The class will progressively move through various techniques to create other types of beads and pendants. Techniques will involve creating an antiqued metal look for earrings and pendants using stamps and gilders' paste, and making cabochons and a bezel for making a pendant. hands on workshop on working with Polymer Clay to make beads and jewelry.
Polymer clay can be used to mimic Turquoise, Malachite, Ivory, Amber, Agate etc. Two types of processes for obtaining these `faux` gems will be discussed.
You will create at least one original piece of jewelry by the end of the day.
